Job Summary
Responsible for executing the directives of HO strategic sourcing on inbound supply chain pertaining to raw materials.
Organize the logistics and receipt of inbound raw material, liaisoning with parties including suppliers, transporters and railways
Duties And Responsibilities
| 1 | Undertakes the raw material requirement and availability analysis in close coordination with PPC and various HODs |
| 2 | Closely work with HO and other plant (Raipur) for the purpose of e auction and strict adherence to quantity, source and max bid |
| 3 | Raise concerns related to quantity and quality of input raw material |
| 4 | Coordinate with the QC department on the quality parameter of the incoming raw material |
| 5 | Provide suggestions to improve inbound supply chain efficiency and sustainability |
| 6 | Coordinates with and maintains constant communication with suppliers and transporters. |
| 7 | Oversee work order generation and validate supplier/transporters bill against the work order for further processing by accounts |
| 8 | Oversee road/rail enroute tracking to ensure timely and safe delivery of raw material at the site. |
| 9 | Work in close coordination with RMHS team to ensure zero demurrage and quick turnaround time for the vehicle |
Job Specifications
| Educational Qualification | B.E. in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering; Preferably MBA in (Material Management/SCM/Inventory Management/Operations Management) |
| Experience | 10+ years relevant experience in steel industry |
Performance Measures
| 1 | Zero production loss on account of non-availability of raw material |
| 2 | Ensuring inventory level above the threshold level for all the raw material |
| 3 | Ensure zero demurrage |
| 4 | Improvement in vehicle turn around time |
| 5 | Optimization of raw material and logistics cost |
