Job Summary
Responsible for end to end operational planning of the outbound logistics.
Organize the distribution of outbound product, plan and manage the movement of goods liaising with transporter, railways and with sales coordination team/customer for timely and safe arrival of product at the destination site.
Duties And Responsibilities
| 1 | Formulates the dispatch plan for outbound material and manages the logistics for the same. |
| 2 | Oversees the tracking of dispatched goods and ensures their timely and safe delivery. |
| 3 | Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, transportation modes, product volumes or mixes, or carriers. |
| 4 | Resolve problems concerning transportation and logistics systems |
| 5 | Recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment, or frequency. |
| 6 | Ensure Company is in compliance with laws and regulations regarding transportation, including hazardous materials. Resolve any legal issues pertaining to transportation/distribution |
| 7 | Ensures vehicle insurance, road tax, pollution certificate, maintenance, etc. are compliant |
| 8 | Provide suggestions to improve outbound supply chain efficiency and sustainability |
| 9 | Ensure zero demurrage and quick turnaround time for the vehicle |
Job Specifications
| Educational Qualification | B.E. in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering; Preferably MBA in (Material Management/SCM/Inventory Management/Operations Management) |
| Experience | 10+ years relevant experience in steel industry |

| 1 | On time delivery, as per dispatch plan |
| 2 | Ensure zero demurrage |
| 3 | Improvement in vehicle turn around time |
| 4 | Optimization of outbound logistics cost |
