Job Summary
Drive quality management process and framework to ensure zero defect/QC issue in the finished good dispatch
Duties And Responsibilities
1 | Formulating QC plans to ensure that all materials are QC compliant and to improve the overall efficiency of plant processes. Prepares plans for testing of inputs, in process and output materials in the different units to ensure that quality standards are continuously met and upheld. |
2 | Define, develop, and document consistent and reliable quality standards for an effective and formal quality management system. |
3 | Ensures that departments are collecting samples as per plan from each unit and regularly conduct quality inspection & tests and process/product audits. |
4 | Monitors the compilation and analysis of data in the labs. Also ensures accurate documentation of laboratory data. |
5 | Detects non conformance within procedures/ systems and ensure that the cause of the condition is determined and immediate corrective action is taken with subsequent follow up to preclude repetition. |
6 | Plans, promotes, and organizes training activities related to output quality and reliability. |
7 | Investigates any customer complaints regarding the quality of products. |
8 | Ensures preparation of monthly MIS for the department. |
9 | Establishing and Maintaining controls and documentation procedures |
10 | Monitors performance by gathering relevant data and statistical reports. |
11 | Ensure timely calibration, as per schedule of lab instruments |
12 | Coordinate with external agencies for quality certification, based on specific customer needs |
13 | Introduces and Drives quality improvement initiatives at the plant. |
Job Specifications
Educational Qualification | Bachelors in Engineering preferably in Mechanical Engg |
Experience | 15+ years of relevant QC and R & D experience in a steel industry. |

1 | Zero Quality related customer complaint |
2 | Timely delivery of QC analysis to the production units |
