Job Summary
Responsible for executing the directives of HO strategic sourcing on inbound supply chain, outbound supply chain, material procurement and stores.
Duties And Responsibilities
| 1 | Ensure execution of the directives of HO strategic sourcing on inbound supply chain pertaining to raw materials. Ensure the logistics and receipt of inbound raw material, by liaisioning with parties including suppliers, transporters and railways |
| 2 | Ensure the raw material requirement and availability analysis is done in close coordination with PPC and various HODs |
| 3 | Responsible for end to end operational planning of the outbound logistics. Organize the distribution of outbound product, plan and manage the movement of goods liaising with transporter, railways and with sales coordination team/customer for timely and safe arrival of product at the destination site. |
| 4 | Ensure formulation of the dispatch plan for outbound material and manages the logistics for the same. |
| 5 | Ensure overall management of the stores division and to act as a custodian of receipt material |
| 6 | Ensures that the receipt and issue of material is done in compliance with the company’s policies and procedures. |
| 7 | Ensure overall management of the procurement activities of the plant within the parameters of the Annual Operation plan in a cost effective and timely manner. Responsible for managing all procurement activities including supplier selection, contract administration whilst adhering to the quality, and cost standards of the company. |
| 8 | Ensure coordination with production units to prepare a baseline(estimate) procurement plan, based on annual production plan and maintenance schedule |
Job Specifications
| Educational Qualification | B.E. in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering; Preferably MBA in (Material Management/SCM/Inventory Management/Operations Management) |
| Experience | 15+ years relevant experience in steel industry |
Performance Measures
| 1 | Zero production loss on account of non-availability of raw material |
| 2 | Ensuring inventory level above the threshold level for all the raw material |
| 3 | On time delivery, as per dispatch plan |
| 4 | Ensure optimal inventory level |
